Key Responsibilities:
Proactive Business Development and Revenue Growth:
  • Generate new business through proactive outreach, identifying and targeting potential clients in the region.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across enterprises, brands, and large corporations.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to exceed revenue targets, leveraging a consultative sales approach.
  • Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailored product demonstrations to potential enterprise clients.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, focusing on building long-term relationships.
     
Implementing Web3 Strategies in the Region:
  • As an early member of the team, help drive Web3/blockchain adoption for non-Japan markets with a focus on the APAC region.
  • Lead market research initiatives to validate hypotheses and assess entry strategies for Web3/blockchain technologies.
  • Tailor value propositions to meet the specific needs of enterprises and partner companies, utilizing Sony’s global assets.
Consultative Approach to Strategic Business Model Development:
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to test and refine business hypotheses.
  • Establish and grow partnerships, including joint ventures, and form alliances with external partners.
  • Formulate and execute project and business plans, with a strong emphasis on consultative sales of Web3 solutions.
  • Drive the commercialization of Web3 products and services, positioning them to meet the evolving needs of
  • enterprise clients.
Reporting Line:
  • Report directly to the Managing Director or Head of Business Development in the Singapore office.
  • Initially, there will be no direct reports as this is a hands-on, strategic role within a lean team.
     
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in business development and consultative sales, particularly in engaging enterprises and brands in the technology sector (or in non-blockchain/Web3 environment)
  • Strong ability to conceptualize and execute sales strategies based on customer needs and market demands.
  • Demonstrated success in driving new business and revenue through proactive outreach and consultative selling techniques.
  • Experience in Web3/crypto, either through business engagements or individual usage of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
  • Expertise in developing and scaling global business models, including sales consulting and strategic partnerships.
  • Understanding of the decision-making processes within large corporations, with experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and solve management challenges in uncertain business contexts.
  • Proficiency in English, including the ability to understand client needs, present business proposals, and negotiate agreements effectively.
Desirable Conditions:
  • Work experience in Southeast Asia.
  • Understanding of the business models in the Web2 industry.
  • Connections with the blockchain/web3 community.
